8th Grade HS Course Selection Info!
Good day 8th grade parents;
I will be sending home the high school "Course Selection Forms" today and tomorrow. I was able to enter all of the core classes with the help of my administration, they are AMAZING!
Please ask your student for this form so that you can see what they have selected as electives and see what Core classes we have selected for them. You have this week and part of next week to go over this form and make changes to their elective classes. If you disagree with a core class that we have selected, please reach out to me so I can review your school's curriculum guide and class requirements, and if an error has been made, I can correct it.
If your student was not here on Friday, they have been asked to come up to the office today to make their selection choices. If your student was not here today, I will continue to call them up right up until I send the forms off to their HS next week. After that deadline, it will be the parent's responsibility to make sure the HS receives it.
The deadline for turning in the signed course selection forms and making changes to it is Wednesday of next week (March 13). Please make sure to sign your name on the Course Registration Form once you have seen it. If your student fails to turn in the registration form to their Ilead teachers or myself by this deadline, I will forward the copy that I have kept for myself to the HS in the hopes that they may get the elective classes that they requested.
Most HS will not make any schedule changes after the school year starts, so please make sure that you encourage your child to turn in the course selection form.

Message from Braden River High School!
Braden River High School will be hosting their Incoming 9th Grade Family Night on February 15th starting at 6pm in the Braden River High School Auditorium. You will learn about the graduation requirements, the class registration process, and all the great opportunities that your student can take advantage of at Braden River High School.

On Wednesday 11/29 at 1:30pm, Southeast High School IB coordinator and IB students will visit our 8th graders to share exciting information about their IB program.
Parents are welcome to attend but will need to RSVP with Mrs. Hines at (941)462-4001 ext. 1107 by Monday 11/27.

On October 4th the 8th grade class will have an assembly for the Cambridge AICE Program.
Palmetto High school will visit RMA and will be talking to 8th-grade students about the AICE Program.
If Parents would also like to attend they must RSVP at Extension 1107. (We have limited spaces available)
