June - Summer Update from Mr. Clark

Dear RMA Families,

I hope that you and your loved ones are well during these uncertain times.  The RMA school community has shown its resolve and leadership as we have faced the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. Our mission of fostering leadership and love of learning by promoting creativity and excellence in academics by infusing Arts and Communications in a 21st Century learning framework is more essential now than ever.  RMA will continue to

Put 1st Things 1st and maintain our core values as we provide a positive, safe, and healthy learning environment for all of our students next school year.

We are reaching out to all new and former RMA students and families to share some important information that will help you prepare for the 2020-2021 school year.

RMA staff is Synergizing this summer to develop plans to meet the needs of our students as we seek additional guidance from our county and state. Information is evolving rapidly so we will ensure to monitor best practices and evaluate our parent feedback while finalizing our 20-21 opening plans. RMA will need to be flexible and agile to be prepared for multiple school options to ensure continuous learning for all students. Below is information on our 3 opening options for next year along with other important information for students and families.

I encourage all students to Begin with the End in Mind by completing their grade-level math packets and summer reading recommendations... Completing these activities will help ensure that students continue their academic momentum and to help to prevent summer slide. In addition, students should take time to Sharpen your Saw by safely going outside to exercise and have fun.

Please visit our school website to access information about the summer assignments as well as other important topics. https://www.rowlettmiddleacademy.org/
