Counselor's Corner

Rowlett Middle Academy would like to introduce a new member to our school counselor team, Mrs. Rousan. She has been a school counselor since 2005 with experience in elementary, middle, high and alternative school settings. She worked in Guam Department of Education, was a founding member of the first charter school on Guam, and has been in Manatee and Hillsborough County since moving to Florida 5 years ago.

This year the Guidance department will split the students alphabetically to meet students' needs. Mrs. Joanne Wyar will have all students whose last names start with the letters A-K and Mrs. Lindsey Rousan is for students whose last names start with the letters L-Z

If you have any questions about:
· Middle school and high School requirements for graduation. (Credits)
· The state requirement for Florida State Assessment
· Grades and GPA.

It is important that our students are well informed and supported, academically as well as social-emotionally. Enforcing the importance of good study habits and planning for their future education is essential for our student academic development.

If you have any questions about your student's academics, scheduling, IST, or any other topic please do not hesitate to contact 941-462-4001.
