Week One Update from Mr. Clark

Hello RMA Families,

We have had a great 1st week of school at RMA!  Thank you for all of your patience, flexibility, and understanding this week.  Our main goal was to get our students to and from school safely each day this week. All RMA students should now have their devices and should be able to access all of their applications and information to be successful in class and on campus.  We will continue to provide a safe and supportive learning environment while also improving our eLearning systems for students and staff.

1. Please only send your students to school on your assigned day.  Students that choose eLearning and Hybrid can make changes to on-campus learning for the 2nd Quarter.

2. Each student is taking their own attendance in Focus and has been trained on this process.  Please speak with your children about the importance of taking their own attendance during 1st period each school day. You can view the following link to show this easy process.

3. Students should charge their iPads each night, and bring their charged iPad and charger to school each day.

4. Each afternoon in the car loop please use your white SafeDismissal card with your number on it.  Following this process will make the car loop more efficient each afternoon.

5. For the time being, please use email to communicate with teachers about classroom topics and call the front office about any school-based topics. The staff directory is located on our website. Temporarily, we are using Bloomz to communicate school-wide only, but soon, you'll be able to message your child's teachers directly. You can also refer to our website at www.rowlettmiddleacademy.org to access the more current information about RMA.

 Have a great weekend!

Thanks,
