Giving Tuesday - December 2, 2026 - Matching Funds Available!

Rowlett Academy is proud to participate in Giving Tuesday this year, taking place on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

What is Giving Tuesday?

Giving Tuesday is a global movement of generosity celebrated each year on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving. It’s a day that inspires people everywhere to give back, whether through donations, volunteering, or acts of kindness, to support the causes and communities they care about most.

This year, we invite our Rowlett families and friends to join us in celebrating generosity and helping us make a lasting impact on our campuses and students.

Double Your Impact with the Flanzer Trust

We are excited to announce that Rowlett Academy is partnering with the Flanzer Trust Organization for Giving Tuesday 2025. Through the Flanzer Matching Program, your donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar, doubling your impact!

Here’s how it works:

  • Donations between $5 and $500 per month, per donor or household are eligible to be matched.
  • You may give to as many Flanzer partners as you like—including Rowlett Academy!
  • Unlike other programs, no handling fees or deductions are taken. The Flanzer Trust covers 100% of the matching costs.
  • You may also schedule recurring donations to Rowlett that can be matched, up to $3000 in calendar year

$25 becomes $50

$100 becomes $200

$500 becomes $1000

$1000 becomes $1500 and so on…

How Your Gift Helps

Funds raised through this year’s Giving Tuesday campaign will directly support two major projects at our schools:

Rowlett Elementary Academy is raising funds for a new 2nd and 3rd-grade playground to give students a safe, fun, and inclusive space to play and grow.

Rowlett Middle Academy is raising funds to renovate and expand the RMA Today news studio, giving our student journalists and leaders an upgraded creative space to tell their stories.

Combined, these projects are expected to cost over $60,000, but with your generosity and the Flanzer Trust match, we can make incredible progress toward our goal.

Anyone can participate! Please share this campaign with friends, family, and community members who want to support Rowlett’s mission of developing leaders through the arts and communication.

A: Donations can be made securely online through the Flanzer Trust portal. Be sure to select Rowlett Academy as your organization to ensure your gift is matched: https://donate.flanzertrust.org/

Q: How much can I donate?

A: The Flanzer Trust matches donations from $5 up to $500 per donor/household each month. Every dollar helps, and every donation counts!

Q: Can anyone donate?

A: Yes! Donations are open to anyone - parents, grandparents, alumni, neighbors, or community supporters.

Q: How will my donation be used?

A: 100% of funds raised will go directly to our campus improvement projects—the new elementary playground and the RMA Today studio renovation.

Q: Is my donation tax-deductible?

A: Yes. Donations made through the Flanzer Trust are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

Q: Can these Giving Tuesday donations be combined with my previous Sponsorship Drive giving for campus incentives?

A: Unfortunately, no. We are prohibited from incentivizing giving through the Flanzer Trust. To remain compliant with the program’s guidelines, these donations must be made separately and without campus-based incentives. However, every contribution still directly benefits our students and projects and thanks to the matching funds, your generosity goes twice as far!

Q: Can I make a donation through my business?

A: Donations must come from individuals, not business entities. The Flanzer Trust only matches personal contributions, so gifts made through a business account are not eligible for matching funds. We encourage business owners to consider making individual donations on behalf of themselves or their families to ensure their gift qualifies for the match.

Q: Can I donate by check?

A: Yes! While the Flanzer Trust does not charge any fees for online giving, you are also welcome to mail a check if you prefer.

Please make checks payable to:

The Louis & Gloria Flanzer Philanthropic Trust

Mail to: 1266 First Street, Suite 4, Sarasota, FL 34236

Important:

  • In the memo line, please note “Rowlett Academy” to ensure your funds reach out campuses.
  • All checks, including those from IRA, brokerage, or similar accounts, must include the donor’s name and address to ensure proper processing and matching.
