we want everyone to be ready to rock the let middle car rider line so here's a video made by our TV production students that will help guide parents to the proper way to pick up their children during dismissal time let's get started with scenario 1 our first priority is safety so make sure you are driving slow and are not distracted here's an example of the wrong way to do it and the right way oh there's a speed bump oh well I'm coming sweetie got to go slow so I don't hit a student or staff member no distractions while driving you need to know where to pull up and be focused the student safety is our number 1 priority during dismissal time there are dozens of students trying to make their way to their cars and many staff members assisting them to do so drive at a safe speed keep your eye on the road and follow the directions from any staff members the car rider line moves quickly and there's a lot going on on so save the texting for later and stay focused on keeping our students safe now here's scenario 2 1 of the most important rules of the car rider line is to pull all the way forward even if your car is right next to your child it's a important that you move all the way up to the car in front of you this is how we keep the car rider line moving and not back up traffic on 30th Avenue here are our TV production students again to explain the right way to do it and the wrong way to do it oh there's my baby oh hi I'm coming to get you everyone else can wait cuz I'm just going to pull up here come on let's go I have to keep the line moving so I'll let my son in at the front car Come On Son all right so let's get some Chick-fil-A in the carrot Loop pickup Lane the rule of thumb is the students come to you not you to them in the car rider Loop there is a sidewalk where the students will be standing cars pull up in that lane next to the sidewalk make sure you pull hope as far as you can yes even if you have to pass your child once you're as far as forward as you can go park and wait for your child to walk to your car make sure to pull up all the way so we can fit as many cars in the car to the loop as possible if not the very end gets very back up and it spills out on the 30th Avenue in blocks traffic we don't want to do that instead of going through the car rider Loop you can choose to use the side parking lot for dismissal pickup in the parking lot it's important that you park and wait for your child to walk over to you here are our TV production students with their examples of the right way to use the side parking lot and the wrong way goody girl I'm late Mom I think you're supposed to park I'm like don't don't worry just get in oh my gosh yo twin how's your day fine popping your middle school aged kid may I give you the side I but you want to make sure that you are following the side parking lot rules so don't endanger them or anyone else after any dismissal if you are using the side parking lot it is just that a parking lot parents are to park and the students will be waiting in the student holding area when they see you they will walk to your car make sure you exit slowly so you won't hit any the Walkers this exit has 2 Lanes if you are training right use the right lane if you're training left use the left lane we hope this is giving you an insight into how the car rider Loop in the side parking lot work of course safety is always number 1 priority so just keep it slow stay focused and always pull forward all right sweetie let's Jam no yes no yes bro stop no yes no it's my jam well too bad yes no
