Erica Levey - About Me
I am proud to serve as the Marketing and Communications Director for Rowlett Academy K-8 and to begin my 11th year as a member of the Rowlett team. My Rowlett journey began in the classroom as a 4th- and 5th-grade teacher at our Elementary Campus. Before coming to Rowlett, I taught 1st grade in Sarasota County and 6th- and 7th-grade Language Arts in Pasco County.
Today, I lead Rowlett Academy’s marketing, communications, community outreach, public relations, and brand strategy. I also support schoolwide fundraising and the efforts of the Rowlett Family Association (RFA), helping promote initiatives, build community partnerships, and strengthen engagement with our families and supporters. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to help expand Rowlett’s presence throughout our community, grow the ways we connect with current and prospective families, and build a cohesive K-8 brand that celebrates the incredible students, staff, programs, and opportunities that make Rowlett special.
I am especially proud of the community recognition Rowlett has earned, including being repeatedly voted a Gold winner in the Bradenton’s Best awards for Best Elementary School, Best Middle School, and Best Charter School.
Before entering education, I worked in marketing, event planning, and fundraising for organizations including Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and Tampa Bay Federal Credit Union. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from the University of South Florida’s Tampa campus and a Master of Arts in Education from USF Sarasota-Manatee.
Rowlett has also been an important part of my family’s story. I am the proud parent of two former Rowlett students, so I have been fortunate to experience this community from both the educator and parent perspective.
Outside of Rowlett, I enjoy spending time with my husband and family, traveling, beach trips, fine dining, and probably more visits to Walt Disney World than I should admit!
