About Me
This is my sixth year teaching at Rowlett Middle Academy, where I have the privilege of teaching Algebra I Honors and 7th Grade Advanced Math. I also serve as the Math Department Chair and the Girls Basketball Coach. I enjoy the opportunity to support students both in the classroom and on the court by helping them develop confidence, perseverance, and leadership skills.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Florida. I began my teaching career in elementary education, where I spent several years building a strong foundation in helping students grow academically and personally. As my passion for mathematics continued to grow, I earned my 5-9 Mathematics certification and transitioned into middle school math. I love helping students see that math is more than just numbers and formulas—it is a way to problem-solve, think critically, and build confidence. I believe every student can be successful when they are encouraged to be proactive, take ownership of their learning, and work toward becoming the best version of themselves.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two daughters. My husband and I are both proud members of the Rowlett family, and having our daughters attend Rowlett Elementary makes this community especially meaningful to us. When I’m not teaching, coaching, or creating new classroom experiences, you can usually find me building LEGO creations with my family, exploring new creative projects, or finding new ways to make learning fun and engaging for students.
