Parents,
We are so happy about our successful first week and are looking forward to seeing students back on campus again on Monday.
Please be reminded that school hours are from 8:20-3:20, and supervision is provided 30 minutes prior to the beginning of school (7:50) and 30 minutes after the end of school (3:50).
We want to also remind parents that our car rider loop does not open up in the morning until 7:45, and students are not permitted out of cars and onto campus until the bell rings at 7:50. Our morning staff members don’t arrive until 7:50 to open the car loop. Many families have been arriving on campus before this time which is causing traffic to back up onto 30th Avenue. This is not only a major safety concern, but it means that staff can’t make it onto campus to open up the school. This creates complete gridlock. We understand that many of you need to get to work on time in the morning. The same is true for our staff. Please do not arrive to campus before 7:45!
In addition, to ensure families are supervising their children until school supervision beings at 7:50, starting next Monday, the car rider loop exit and walker entrance will remain closed until 7:50 when the bell rings to admit students onto campus.
Similarly, our car loop is physically closed in the afternoon until 2:50. No cars should be on campus unless you are picking your child(ren) up early. Early pick-ups must be made by 2:30. All cars should exit through the front gate, and no cars may be stopped in the driveway before the loop opens at 2:50.
Should you need to drop your child off prior to 7:50 or pick up after 3:50, we offer a very affordable before and after school program. Scholarships are available to families in need. Please contact the Roost at (941) 462-4001 and choose option 3 to sign your child up or to inquire about a scholarship. We also offer free bus transportation from our county-wide hub bus stops. Please contact our Transportation Department [email protected] to inquire about bus registration.
We must work together to ensure the safe arrival of our students.
