We are working with the district to have the enrollment tab switched from your child’s zoned middle school to Rowlett Middle Academy in FOCUS. You should see the update in your parent portal shortly.

 

Below you will find more information about our campus. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions. Communication and updates will be via email until the beginning of the school year, please make sure to check regularly so you do not miss out on any important information.

We are excited to provide an opportunity for your student to experience first-hand all of the elective course choices offered at RMA.  On Saturday, April 12th, 2025, we will host a New Student Arts Elective Showcase from 8:00 am-12:15pm. Students will rotate through our amazing electives at RMA and help the kids feel excited and prepared for middle school. At this event, they will get hands-on experience in all of the electives and have the opportunity to meet our elective teachers.  Your child will get a chance to select 6 elective choices (in order of priority) on the day of the Electives Showcase.  Make sure your child understands that they could be placed in any of the electives they select on the form. RMA School Counselors are the only staff who directly work with your child’s course placements. We will do our very best to give your child their top elective choices, but we cannot guarantee it due to space limitations in some courses.  

 

 

*One parent/guardian of all accepted students must attend our RMA Parent University (half-day event.) Parents/guardians learn how to support their student, meet their student’s teachers, examine our RMA procedures, explore technology communication applications, and discover how to become an active participant in your new middle school!

 

 

RMA is a uniform school. All students are expected to strictly adhere to the RMA school dress code. RMA uniforms can be purchased locally from Manatee Apparel! New options for uniform shirts and jackets have been added that look great. Please order via the website at https://stores.inksoft.com/rowlettmiddleacademy/home

Uniform shirts can also be purchased independently from your choice of store, but must abide by our detailed dress code. For shirts requiring the RMA patch, you can purchase a patch from the RMA office to be sewn on clothing items. You may also order RMA uniforms online from Lands’ End.

 

*Our detailed uniform policy can be found in our Parent-Student Handbook, starting on page 3. The RMA administration has the final authority in determining if dress attire is appropriate. As fashion trends change, this policy, without notice, may be adjusted accordingly.

 

Hub Transportation is provided for Manatee County students living at least 2 miles or more from Rowlett Middle Academy. Students are picked up at stops located conveniently throughout Manatee County. You may visit our website under the Parent/Transportation tab for more information regarding Rowlett K-8 Academy bussing and to see the current schedule. Bus registration for the 2025-26 school year will begin in April 2025. An email with detailed information and a sign-up link will go out closer to that date.

 

 

 

REA Students will be attending a field trip to the RMA Electives Showcase on Friday, March 28, 2025. The students will leave REA at 8:30 and will return at 11:45am.
